Help please.
The car was registered 22/11/10.
First service was done on the 25/11/11 at 11716 miles ( service done early)

Now the car has done 23000 miles. Is the service due now?

According to the car nothing is showing. According to the maintenance record it is 20000 miles or every 2 years. So not due!

But according to other people its every 12000 miles ( which would mean now). Nick whales ad for his GT3 says every 12000 miles!

It's a major service. My gut feeling is it is due one, but looking at the car and reading the service schedule it does not look like it.

I have booked it in as I think it's safe to do so just in case. Anyone??

Cheers

Porsche website shows 20,000 miles or 2 years for GT3:

"Porsche services need only be repeated every two years or 20,000 miles (12,000 miles for 911 GT models) for cars built after 2005 and your Porsche Centre will remind you when your service is due."

Cheers, just as well it's going in Monday then.

The service maintance book that comes with the car definitely says every 2 years or 20000 miles. Nothing about 12000 miles!!

Has anybody ever had their high performance cars oil analysed after 20000 miles.

I would love to know the findings!

For the £150 to have just the oil and filter swapped, I see no excuse not to do it every year or 6000 miles.

In nearly 20 years of porsche ownership I have never gone over 6000 miles between services. I never will!

I cant keep the miles down.

Has anyone got higher mileage than me on a 997 GT3. That should do the resale good :-)

Totally agree, my GT3 is serviced every 2 years and in between gets oil & filter change with a complete health check carried out. Would never leave a car no matter how many miles travelled more than 1 year without being serviced.
