So, after countless posts on here, and really helpful advice, I've finally bought my first Porsche.

I found the perfect car at 911Virgin - an '05 997 C2S in Basalt with pretty much my perfect spec.

Counting down the days until I get to hear that sports exhaust note again.

Thanks to all who have provided advice, counsel, and encouragement over the last few months. If nothing else, I've at least proved I'm not a time waster.

Dave

First proper Porker then :-)

If it's the one with the carbon it looks well specified. Someone ticked quite a few boxes when they ordered that.

Well done, that looks a cracking car.

As a matter of interest, can I ask what you've decided to do about warranty cover as this is an area I'm never quite sure what to do, other than buy from an OPC.

Good Luck.

Yes, that the one. The carbon and alcantara looks really good in my opinion. Not to everyone's taste but I like. The rest of the spec is pretty comprehensive as well.

Personal preference, but I always wanted to buy from a reputable indpendent in the first instance in order to reduce the risks. Having done that, and assured myself the car has had all the necessary checks done, I'm happy to go with the 911Virgin in-house 1 year warranty.

No, it's very much my first Porsche. I was referring to the test drive.

Nice one ! Picked up my own BB 997 C4S from tom on my birthday last month. Go take a look at my post on The 911uk forum yesterday - unbelievable buying experience and aftersales from them.

Well done. I was tempted with that car myself. Tom said it would be gone within a week! Enjoy!

+1 for 911V

I'm also waiting to pick up my first 911 from them, a 997.2 C4S. Counting the days as well.

It's hardly been used and the black is virtually unmarked. Must admit not to knowing too much about 911s, but the 911V folks are very helpful and the spec on the car matched what I was looking for.

It will make an interesting contrast to the Cerbera ...

Yes it's black. When do you collect yours?

Hoping I can get hold of mine sometime next week.
