Which Warranty
Discussion
If you don't want to use Hartech or S&C (plenty of Southern softy
customers do - they can each arrange collection/delivery or sort out a courtesy car or cheap rental) then get your local OPC to check the car very thoroughly before the warranty expires (it'll be worth the hour or two's labour it might cost) and get them to claim for everything they can under the current cover, then keep your money in your pocket in future.
Balancing the risk against the expense of a WW policy and the likelihood of them actually paying out when you need them too will see you much better off without one of their policies.

I actually have the car booked in at Porsche to sort out an issue with the CD clicking. So will ask that they check the rest of the car.

I have a Jan 2005 911S C2 which I bought in Nov 2012 with 43K on the clock (full OPC SH) and the approved warranty run out the month before. Just in case (!) there are issues with anything I took it to the OPC in Hatfield and had the 111 point check done which showed up two issues - one of the front fans was not working (which was fixed there and then) and then something not working with the air con controls and a part was ordered. All fixed today with a new 12 month warranty. Did have to have a new Porsche battery though!!
Tony Suckling was great and even got 10% off the whole bill. Peace of mind now restored.

If you look on the Porsche owners club website, they recommend UVS warranty
I took out a policy with them and got 'wear and tear' cover as well
Many on here will pick the 'non franchise' warranties to bits but for me it made sense as the OPC warranty doesn't cover wear and tear and I was tired of paying through the nose for expensive brake discs/ pads etc.
Horses for courses etc.
I have not made a claim as yet so I suppose time will tell if its money well spent or not.
