views on white 911's

hi guys
what is the general consensus on white cars, I know that black/silver/grey are good for re-sales but the new cars look brilliant in white - or is this a phase for white ones, must admit i have only started looking at the gen 1 and gen 2 cars

Grand Prix White looks great on the 70/80s 911s. Doesn't suit anything (a few exceptions) post 1990 IMO.

Agree ivory is lovely (old English white), but I have to say even plain white I actually don't mind on a modern 911-I pretty much can't stand it on everything else

I am a big fan of white, BUT only on the right model, and sometimes that can be variant specific!

Red/White/Yellow is a safe bet for most Porsche.

White is very popular at the moment, looks best on the modern cars though.

Pretty sure there was a white Porsche thread on here previously (if you google for it).

If its a sportier derivative it stands out more and is a motorsport related colour but I don't think it suits low spec standard cars and comes in and out of fashion.

Its does say look at me ala red ferrari's
