Hello all, I may have the chance of a 911 964 turbo, it needs a little bit of cosmetic work and possibly a new turbo, but the main body and chassis etc parts are all really good with a GT spoiler and bodykit etc. It has the G50 gearbox and a modded engine running about 450 bhp. So the question is what is a reasonable price to perhaps consider?

Thanks in advance

This was a recent guide on 911 Turbo market by ph. Suggest between £30-50k assuming 3.3ltr from poor to A1 condition. Quite a big range so up to you and and any other research you do as to what your offer ends up being.

The question what do you think its worth and go from there? Try Ebay on here as well maybe?

Post a few pictures with this topic, people will soon jump in to add their bit.

Thanks all, just got to try to convince the missus now as she hates the look of them but this could be a good chance to have something that would appreciate in value! We shall see.....

Maybe even spend a bit on your 964 to get it up to a good condition. I would think a good turbo will always appreciate in value if looked after.
People always like the turbo's however, if the car does not put a smile on your face then sell it.
That is how I judge it on my cars?

Why would you pay £30k for a car that sounds like it'll be presenting you a bill for £10k plus? A Turbo 3.6 recently changed hands for £36k with recent engine rebuild and very nice condition indeed.

I would not want to give more than @£15k for that car unless I was sure that the 'cosmetics' were indeed just that and not the precursor to the usual ravages we see in 911 tubs.

£36k for 3.6T is quite cheap relative to recent sales on ph. Though admittedly jzm seems to sell most of the recent ones. They have been asking £75k iirc. £36 k is a steal.

And if you knew who sold it, you'd be astounded, but I can't reveal that beyond saying that I was a respected high end retailer (non franchise) of very rare and expensive cars. I can't understand why one would pay £75k for one though, regardless of mileage.

Main issue would be the fact that in the wife's point of view we could possible be paying about twice of the value of the 996 c2 we have for this 964 turbo i know of.......

Just go into it carefully op. Those cars swallow money for fun. Be very aware of what needs doing.

I sold my K reg 1993 (on of the last) 3.3 last year for £25k.
Very straight, rot free, 5 owner car that had had the engine rebuild done in my possession (£5k+) and loads of other stuff.

Thing is the heat exchangers were getting a little tatty so I'd have wanted a full new system - That'll be £2500 then.
I'd fitted new springs but ideally it will want shocks and springs and bushes in the future - That'll be £3000 then.
Whilst tidy and solid it had a few areas of fading and I'd have only been happy with a full spray - That'll be £5k+.

So an on the face of it good 964T could easily swallow £10k without breaking a sweat. Buyer beware!

Beautiful things though and that black one for £28K looks mega value if it's straight. Some speedlines, new rear lights and other standard bits would have it looking great. I notice it has none of the factory stickers along the rear slam panel where the engine lid shuts. It should have a few decals along there. Easily checked out though.

+1 Same with a 930 If you are handy with a set of spanners it keeps the cost down.
