993 GT2 Race Car

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to some research on it, and wondered if anyone here knew of the car?

Is the asking price about right?

I think it is. There's two ads on PH but only one on their website at £50k.

See it all the time. 'Sorry sir, mistake uploading description onto the web'. Maybe on this occasion, but normally it's dealers (Modern day horse traders?) trying it on. I mean whats 20K?

Whats it is, is 20K of someones hard earned dosh trying to posssibly buy their dream car. Makes my blood boil it does.

The great thing about the web is twofold. 1, It makes things like this easier to spot, 2, Certain traders have had to pull their socks up, because of the power of the net.

Doesn't that seem ridiculously cheap for a 993 GT2 ? Presumably it's not a "real" GT2, or there's something hidden ?

Just read the advert, I suspect they an engine and built a car around it. The advert says, spec to include which implies it doesn't have anything yet.

Dealer normally does bling bling 4x4.

I thnk you're taking an incorrect implication - writing copy in that way is far from uncommon.

Hi Goose as you know race engines sometimes let go hence a rebuild is needed and the cost of authentic GT2 R engine components as we know are scary and hard to come by , having rebuilt them.
There were 2 right hand drive factory built 993 GT2Rs and as you know I know where 1 is , all tucked up .
They are a great drive and a real challenge to master unlike all the modern stuff , a mans car as they would say in the old days. Recently at the Portimao circuit on slicks in the wet ..............
