Gold Wheels GT2 RS Paint code?

Hi All - Am trying (failing that should read!!) to find the paint code for the pale gold wheels on the GT2 RS as per in this pic... http://www.caranddriver.com/news/2011-porsche-911-...

To be perfectly honest, I have no idea if its the right code, I just got it from that site!

yeah - may be a case of suck it and see..!

Problem is the car is 500 miles away and am buying it blind - should be ok as is from an OPC... but I want the wheels sorted before I take delivery - so I cant be there to check and see its right - bit of a punt - unless some kind chappie on here can confirm!

I wouldn't trust an OPC with paint codes. They managed to paint in the wrong colour my wheels both times. Despite me pointing out clearly the colour I wanted on their catalogue. And it was a perfectly normal available extra. Salesman even sent me a picture of the wheels from a car they had in the showroom to which I confirmed and gave goahead.

Imagine my surprise when mine looked nothing like those. How daft you have to be (or think I am) not to realise its not going to fly? So get paint codes and be adamant you want THAT colour.

Honestly, some on these guys you would think they hired them just so they made a charitable donation towards other businesses taking them out of the labour market.

Thanks for that link Slippy - I've found the satin platinum code I needed

Ask your OPC to contact their bodyshop who will no doubt be able to paint them for you. I doubt they will supply the code as they will want the painting business.

Alternatively an OPC parts department might be able to obtain the code from the chassis number of a GT2 RS.

I had my 997 GT2 wheels painted Weiss Gold (GT2RS colour) a few months ago, Chris at Exel Wheels arranged it and the finish is excellent. I was parked next to a gen 2 GT3 RS with the same colour wheels and decals at the 'ring last week and the colour looked a perfect match.

Chris should be able to help with the colour codes, I'd recommend Exel if you're looking for someone to get the wheels painted.

absolutely gutted ... an OPC in Scotland just rogered me on the deal...got gazumped at the last minute on the Spyder!

Back to the drawing board... although these guys have really annoyed me!

sadly I hadn't left the deposit - I had spoken to them at 11am, and he was confirming the wheel colour - I chased them to make payment at 2pm - no response so I emailed... they emailed back at 6pm to say they sold it at full asking price just then...!

I had tried to pay (in full - not just deposit).... Not a happy bunny - seems am destined to have an empty garage!

C'est la vie I guess!

I never even saw that come for sale, it was not on the OPC site long.
And they take them off straight away even if only a deposit has been left.

yeah - was up there for hardly any time - perfect spec...alcantara bucket seats, chrono, spyder wheels, sat nav , air con... PDK was the only bit I wasn't too fussed by... was happy with manual or pdk

Oh well - am sure something else will appear - but now wondering about c4s or 997tt cabs
