I know not RHD but I was checking the German site mobile.de and there are surprisingly less 996 GT2s for sale. Much less than 997 GT2s. Must be a good thing as the owners seem to be holding on to them.

However, came across this one with only 866 Km on the clock. It's practically brand new. Amazing!

Looks good in red. Why did they make so many bloody silver cars? Give me red or yellow anytime.

I've send the one at 911 Virgin a number of times . Really exceptional condition. I thought mine was in good nick until I saw that one. Well worth a look if you don't mind a few miles

Went through this process last year, purchased an 02 plate car with 11500 miles on the clock, low mileage cars do occasionally come on the market, you just need to be ready when they do and not have purchased something else in the meantime whilst waiting. I was lucky as I saw the GT2 for sale and done the deal I wasn't actively looking to buy until I saw it, although had always wanted to get one at some point so didn't have the frustration of waiting and continually looking for "the one."

The low mileage cars don't always get snapped up straight away, as two schools of thought on buying a low mileage car against a very well maintained average or higher mileage car. For me I wanted low mileage and that near new car feel, which mine has delivered well.

They are great cars, and has been said numerous times before require driver concentration at all times when the right hand pedal is being pressed hard.

Red one has been for sale for quite sometime, and has been discussed on here.

Polar Silver one has had some "upgrades" depending on your thoughts. Wheels and suspension are listed in the advert as being changed, standard wheel size is 18". If you will want to return it to original spec, as some owners on here have done by refitting original spec parts take a look at the prices and factor this into the asking price.

If it's going to be turned into a track car and tuned then might be a bonus with the moton units.

Buy this one if you have the budget and it checks out, great colour plus clubsport spec. Looks fantastic plus wider audience come resale time due to LHD.

Yes but what a car, 997 GT2 is a nice car but I'm not sure I would take one over a 996 GT2, it's that each new model goes through the Porsche refining process that so far IMO has diluted the driving pleasure for us old school tail happy drivers. Still you have the option of switching it off on the 997 :-)

Plus I'm sure there would be a deal to be done on it.

What's the story on the met black 996 gt2 in the classifieds currently with circa 18k on the clock, desirable colour with fixed back buckets thought that would of sold

The black car has had a quarter on it, the garage were very open about this on the phone
