Lowering a c4s

Is there many people on here who have lowered a 996 carrera 4s? If so what make springs and ride height have you gone?
Does it spoil the ride? And any pictures would be appreciated.
Was thinking about dropping mine a touch at some point but don't want to ruin it

Wheels will be done soon stiggy. Turbos still sit high IMO anyway lol
Would only go 25-30mm just to give it a little attitude. But won't be for a little while yet.

Hmm, maybe - that would bring it down to GT3 height, and might just make it crashy? I'm sure someone will be along soon to impart wisdom

I want to avioid ruining the ride.i was thinking h+r 25mm all round .would have to be careful of the splitter too.

You know I like to stand out a bit stig.the trick is not spoiling it in the process

Generally not in UK. Check US sites.

Also check x73 suspension.

Suspension and brakes were what I thought needed to be improved on C4S for track and hard use.

I'm not sure how it compares to the C4S, but my C2 is on M030 and the front splitter often catches on ramps or speed bumps. Anything lower would be a real PITA for normal driving.

Well that may be why I don't see any lowered ones.it wouldnt be for track use.just road and for an aesthetic reason.

I have a new splitter to put on when the bumper gets a reprint too.the current one has been battered underneath at current height.but not by me.
Can't be as low as my carbon splitter on my escort cossie can it?

No, but there's a lot more front overhang on a 996 so it doesn't take much of an angle to scrape the splitter. I took my (US) 996 down to RoW height with a M030 suspension upgrade, and it was about as low as I'd want for daily use.

This is pretty low, I have looked into lowering my 05 boxster recently & kw coilovers are a quality option.

That was my escos.
Will say that pic above looks like its lower than my escos but is that on coil overs?im not a coil over fan.especially for the uk.our roads are awful.
That one above does look good though.but probably not practical over here. Was wondering what a 25mm lowered car would look and drive like.dont want it to be crashy and horrible.

x73 lowers another 10mm and is OEM.

I've used RUF road springs on my 996 Turbo, about 15mm lower and the stance is spot on.

Just about perfect.
Try a wheel spacer rather than lowering.

Really?you don't think that gap is large? Never been a fan of spacers due to wheel wobble.how much you thinking?hubcentric don't come under 12mm I believe
