Well, 420BHP, RWD and mid-engined 3.8L ticks alot of boxes for me.

I would like to see a dual test with a C2S Cab smile

What's not to like? Pick a colour of choice and you have a very desirable sports car....

If you can take your eyes off the other RUF, there's a snippet on the 3800s here http://youtu.be/y2t22ns3xPE

Suspect will be close to 991 money though !

As a recent Boxster convert this is very interesting, love to see a full test report.

It may even be able to keep up with a Merc diesel powered car.

I would like a go in it but £109k no thanks seems pointless when a 991 GT3 is that.

The problem with these type of cars is that to the normal person it could be a standard boxster and nothing more yet its cost you twice the price and as much as a "proper" car.

Now I know some people like to be stealth and not boast about their wealth but sinking that much money into a boxster really is only going to appeal to a very small amount of people and ultimatley it will cost more. Some people even stick a V8 in their Ford Capri and try to burn you off at the traffic lights lol

Not for me I'm afraid even though I think it looks ok bar the seats ( needs buckets ) and wheels ( spokes too chunky )

what is a proper car ?

This looks like a proper car to me, just not one I could put £109k into.

But it's a proper car alright.

cheaper to buy a nicely specd 981s for say £40k then spend £20k for a engine transformation.nice looking car though but standard seats at least sports seats should have been in there.
or how about a new 981s with sports suspension, buckets, engine transplant still going to be cheaper

Ruf is a brand in it's own right with a warranty and will command a higher resale value.
spening 30k on a basic model gives you a modded normal Boxster with no resale value at all.
