Opinion on these PCCB rotors please

I'm looking at potentially buying this 997 3.8 RS. I'd be grateful for any opinions on the PCCB rotors - are they showing signs of wear?? I thought they should be shiny all over...

That looks exactly the same as mine, which I think is showing signs of wear. Lightly used road only cars I've looked at tend to be shiny all over. I will be budgeting for replacements within 5000 miles or so. I will not be replacing them with Porsche versions again. I am waiting for prices of these replacements, which are proper ceramic discs not Porsche coated items, see link.

Thanks! This is an OPC car which will be on sale soon - so not sure if it is considered reasonable wear and tear or of it is worth steering clear of ie excessive wear. If your PCCBs look the same and you are expecting to replace them in 5k miles I suspect the answer to my question above is the latter!

Those look very warn indeed! The surface should be glass smooth and shiny for ceramics in excellent condition. The surface on those looks rough, I'd be trying to negotiate a large discount or that the OPC puts new ceramic disc on it if you pay full sticker price. Otherwise you will have one big bill or be converting to steels.

They are certainly not gonna take more than 1-2 track days in their current state and doubt they will last much longer on the road too, they look rather pitted.

To be sure look at a brand new car in the OPC with ceramics, then point out the difference to them.
