Porsche meets :)

Hi all, i hopefully get my pride and joy back this saturday after engine rebuild from IMS failure. Never really had the chance to enjoy her yet. I live in Portsmouth area. Are there any Porsche meets near? i know theres a pub on corner of A32/A272 that hold different meets, maybe organise one. I am new to this so just after meeting some guys that love there pride and joy as much as i do!!!

911uk Brighton Brekkie this Sunday morning (8th). Might be a bit far, but a great bunch of guys.
Meeting at Pease Pottage services at 9am, or Roedean Cafe for breakfast at 10am.

You missed simply Porsche the other week at Beaulieu (around 150 Porkers), make sure you come down next year.

19th July is the next Porsche meet night on Poole Quay. Usually 100 to 150 cars of all ages there, all enthusiasts and worth the trip across. Just turn up from 18:30 onwards. The quay is closed to all but Porsches, rock up and you'll just be let in and given a card to display in your windscreen re the details of your car for visitors and other owners to browse (if you wanted). Keep an eye on the south coats PH regional forum as usually there's a few posts prior re meeting and going down in convoy etc.

Hi, if all goes to plan and i pick car up saturday i'll pop down, need to run new engine build in so never to far

only issue I've got is cant get hold of the garage who have it for an update

That will be my last day in the Army after 25 years, might as well round it off with that!

Got call from garage today... wasn't ims failure, but BIG END bearing failure more monies. Aim to be another week for repair now.

But i will be there on 19th if it kills me!

Car wont be back from engine rebuild, due back a week saturday.

Yep exactly what they said, They said the bearing has had oil starvation, no wonder when i brought it they wanted cash and nothing else ay! Live and learn.

Only managed to do 400 miles in her since purchase. But she will be good as new soon

Not me mate, sorry as mine is at JZM for another week or so. Maybe another time as the GT3 will be due a blast when I get it back, dispute to withdrawal symptoms

Brookspeed are having an opening evening on Thursday night! They are at Eastliegh somewhere.

You need to be at Poole Quay as close to 6pm (not 6.30) as possible. Cars allowed on to Quay from 6.00 and if the weather is good (and it looks very promising) they will turn cars away to park in the car parks. I think the max allowed on the Quay is 120 cars.
