Saw some Carbon fibre wheels for Porsche

I was at the Porsche Parade last week and came across an Australian company called Carbon Revolution. They are making full CF wheels for my 997 RS. I picked one up...could be easily picked up in one hand. very impressive. I asked about scuffing...an obvious issue. Apparently scuffs can be repaired as easily as alloys and they do not cause the same potential weaknesses as the alloy damage. They are made in both conventonal and centre lock fittings. (Needless to say I have absolutely no connection)...

They are not cheap. A set of centrelocks for a 997RS.2 runs about $12k, but for those who want to significantly lighten a car, its certainly a quick way to do it. No modifications to the standard car configuration are required...plug and play.

I wish...however, they mean US greenbacks. Evidently the buyers are likely to have already stripped significant weight out already I would assume. Manthey sells different weight CF doors for instance.
