is your hospitality paid for or gifted through your OPC? - I am at the FOS all weekend and have recently deposited a reasonable amount of £££s with my local Porsche centre but don't seem to be getting anywhere with the freebies!
(last year got free drinks etc by just showing borrowed key fob at the BMW stand)

Going for the first time on the saturday. Is it worth taking my 911? I just assumed it would be put in a general car park and bumped into for the day?!

What are the corporate freebies like, as I have been given tickets by MacLaren! I.e should I organize a designated driver?!

Don't worry, you'll be rubbing wing mirrors with plenty of other high end metal in the general parking. Having said that, I've paid the extra £50 for the limited spaces 'supercar parking' for Fri - 993 turbo.

Don't see the point in bringing the 911 to park it in the car park that becomes either dusty or muddy.

If I worried about my car getting muddy or dusty I'd never use it.

I'll be going on the Friday in my 996T. As mentioned above, there's always been really exotic machinery parked up in general parking.

Even if there's no-one to admire your car when you arrive its still worth getting up early and enjoying the drive - there are some great routes in from North, West and East.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not at all averse to driving the 911 in poor weather. Someone earlier asked about bringing the 911 and parking at the FoS and I was just offering my thoughts having driven the 911 and also the family hack there with the family in tow. ALL the roads approaching Goodwood during the FoS have heavy traffic, as is the traffic when leaving the event. Nowadays we just bring the hack as our focus is on the event, not the drive there IYKWIM. Anyway, people can drive what they like!

Going to such events in my 996t is one of the reasons I bought it. It adds to the occassion in my opinion, and my friends and I always take it in turn to drive one of our toys. Besides the car park is also one of the other experiences of FoS.

And as for the car getting dusty and dirty, that means i get to spend the time getting it pristine again, perfect end to a perfect day.
