What colour are the standard 997.1 Carrera 'S' wheels?

My 997.1 C4S had some slight corrosion on the inside of a couple of spokes on the front wheels - it's very minor, and certainly not worth shelling out £125+ vat per corner, as there are no kerb marks.

I wondered whether a Porsche touch-up pen might improve matters, and if so, what is the correct colour??

I tried my OPC but they didn't know and couldn't provide touch up paint either. I also tried a wheel restorer who said they could provide match in aerosol form but needed a wheel for 2 days, which I never got round to.

Sorry, I don't have the answer, but it might be worth giving Chris Weaver a ring at Exel Wheels as I'm pretty sure he could help with the question; his number is 07885 259571.

Chris is a great guy, having used him a couple of times to refurbish my alloys, and I'm sure he would'nt mind you asking him.

If you get an answer, please post it up as I'm sure there are a few who'd like to know.

I've heard that the Alloy Wheel Silver Aerosol Wurth is what to use (about half way down the page).

Much appreciated - I've ordered one of these and will give it a try. If I really mess it up, I'll call Excel wheels to do it properly!

And if you make a great job you'll be able to paint your GT3 whatever colour takes your fancy, on any particular day.

Hope it turns up!

Once corrosion has set in its best to get them refurbed. If you leave it too long to get them refurbed, when they are shot blasted it removes the corrosion and leaves the surface uneven from where the corrosion has been removed.
