Anyone got a Cayenne turbo in East Anglia

Hi guys, i am thinking about buying a '03-'06 Cayenne turbo, but want to experience one first to see if i like them without getting involved with dealers. Happy to give beer tokens for fuel.

I am in Norwich so within reasonable distance from there.

Eddy,
I have a 4.8 turbo 2007. I based Sudbury way so a bit of a distance. Happy to share experience etc if nothing else.

They are incredible machines. Go's against laws of physics. My usage varies from daily commute to the train station, to trips to the Alps.

Just get one bought, they are great. Go in with eyes open regarding fuel consumption and the associated bills that go with a 2.5 tonne 450 bhp SUV, particularly tyres and brakes.

Running costs don't seem to be more than the V8 n/a model, turbo units seem pretty robust and most of the other engine parts are common across the two.

Great car.

And quite frankly if you get the occasional repair bill who cares when you get such an enormous grin every time you drive it.
I would struggle to find an alternative to replace my 05 Turbo.

Thanks guys. I know enough about them to realise how great they are, just not sure i can live with the size. My current stable has smaller and faster vehicles, but the Cayenne is so versatile.

Thanks for the offer in the 4.8, may take you up if i have no luck with a 4.5 locally.

They are a fair bit bigger than the 200bhpt white machine you were flying around Snetterton in a few weeks ago.

Although, you can pull a trailer with them!

Hi, yes the Metro is small, but has pulled a caravan and a trailer (not at the same time) Have seen a couple of Cayennes at Snetteton recently. What were you on track in? Are you Plato lol?

I have a 185hp Brabus Smart Forfour which are fairly luxurious and quick and a 335hp Pulsar Gti-r which is a 0-60 in 4secs rally monster amongst others so the Cayenne would replace them.

May have to take you up. Would get the 4.5 remapped so would be about the same performance as your 4.8 i guess.

Well the Cayenne is good for 3.5T and its a heavy stable beast. The 956 & 957's have the mechanical low ratio box also, where now they are psuedo electronic jobs.

I was at Snetts in the old Midnight Blue GT3 CS.

Re mapping, I would guess its the torque curve that is really felt on these trucks.

Im in Kent - if you pass by you are welcome to have ride in my 2006 Turbo S.

Awesome cars - handle well for big old beast, massively quick on the straight.

Easy to over do it in terms of going to quick for the brakes.
