Cayman window drop

This morning the driver's side window on my Cayman has decided to drop an inch when I unlock the car then go back up when I lock it.

Normally it does this when the door handle is pulled rather then when locking.

Any ideas what could be causing it?

Mine did all sorts of weirdness with the windows when the battery was shot... Otherwise, not a clue.

I understand that there is a switch connected to the door handle that drops the window when you open the door.
Perhaps if this switch is faulty / too sensitive ( getting activated when it shouldn't )then the window will drop.
And another guess would be that when the car is locked , switch is overridden and window is returned to home position ?
Try shoogling the door handles , may fix it ??

Well I think the battery is OK but I will try fiddling with the door handle.

Maybe the switch is on it's way out.

There's a 're-learning' process to run through isn't there? It's in the manual.

Mine was the car battery that was shot rather than the remote.

Try fiddling with the battery.

The behavior is not a symptom of a bad switch, at least not a symptom I'm aware of.

Window dropping upon opening the door, then going up once the door is open and the handle released, or failing to drop at all, along with some other electrical/security system gremlin like symptoms was a bad door lock assembly.

A window failing to drop when the handle pulled was a bad door handle switch.

Both windows failing to drop enough far enough fast enough when the door was opened were window regulators.

Well, it worked fine first thing this morning then when I got to work it went back to the weird behaviour.

After I got out of the car and closed the door the window didn't go back up, locking the car makes it go up!

Unlocking the car makes it drop, handle has no effect.

Weird.

Isn't there some configuration which makes the windows drop when the boot is unlocked ( to allow it to close easier )? Perhaps the car things the boot is open.
