964 original radio and iPod

Is there any way of enabling me to play an iPod through this? I don't want to pit a new stereo in.

It works alot better than you think also, sound quality is not bad at all. The only slight downside I had with one was that there was a little backgound hum/feedback, but this was at silly speed/noise levels.

PS. You sure that's the original radio?

Think so, I have bought the LHD midnight blue C2. Is quite expensive but looks and drives like new. 964 was my first porsche about 15 years ago and I really wanted another.

My first 911 was a LHD 964 C2. Great cars and good luck with her. :-)
Mine was a 91 model year and I now have a 993 both with their original ICE. Yours looks a lot newer than the one in my 964 if memory serves. To be honest it looks more modern than the one in my 993. Still Porsche though.
I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong ... I quite often am. :-)

It is the one from Powerhouse, so I want to look after it. One owner from new, expensive, but hard to find a really nice one. Can't wait.

What's wrong with an "iPod fm transmitter" - heaps of different types available that is basically a fm transmitter so you tune to the radio in the car to the desired frequency. Works fine for sound, but still need to use the iPod controls (which is fine - apple make interfaces that are fit for purpose - anything that gets you to navigate an iPod playlist using old 80's porsche radio controls will just be painful

I had a cable fitted to my Blaupunkt New York which enables me to use my iPod on preset 6. The cable is mounted in the glovebox only downside you have no control on the iPod for tracks with the stereo.
