Wheels for a 996 TT

Mate of mine is in desperate need of some wheels for his newly acquired 6TT. We've looked at a few previous threads on here but we're struggling to find any half decent alternatives to standard wheels that don't cost a grand a corner before tyres (despite my constant pleading of the case for HRE and BBS)

Doesn't matter if they're new or used, and while cost is a factor the only real proviso is that they're 18" in correct widths and offsets, and that they're in good condition.

Any suggestions?

Or if anyone's got a set of standard hollow spokes lying around that are in need of a new home...

Don't know if its kosher to point you to another board/forum but someone was offering Turbo 996 hollow spoke wheels on reenlist in the 996 Turbo forum for sale within the last week. USA seller though if that is important.

have you looked at OZ? Aleggerita's look good on a .6 turbo or GT2, lighter than hollow spokes and great provenance, probably around £1600 for a set.

OZ are an option, but the only ones he likes are 19's so we're keen to try and avoid any clearance issues - which it seems is only possible via 25 profile tyres.
