Porsche Factory Collection Suspended Again

Hi all,

I'm interested in buying a new 991 but have been told by the dealer that Factory Collection has been suspended. It is no longer an option on the car configurator in the UK, however the configurator for the US still has this as an option. This is very disappointing and if it is still available for US customers it seems a little unfair.

Anyone heard anything about this, such as reason for it being suspended and when it is likely to be restarted?

Maybe it s due to the Annual Holidays, August ? If not , it's a shame, it costs a lot so they dont loose money on it.

Porsche have used a dedicated travel company in the UK to make the arrangements for factory collection. They do this so it can be offered a fixed price in pounds sterling.

The travel company would arrange flights, transfers, hotel accomodation, channel tunnel and car insurance which was all included in the UK costs.

Unfortunately like many UK businesses of recent the travel company that has been used for many years in the UK has gone into administration. This has caused the hault to all UK factory collections for now. This will return again but they are unsure as to when this will be exactly.

Many thanks for the answer. That explains why it has been suspended in the UK but not elsewhere. I hope they get it sorted soon though...
