996TT Refurb - any recommendations

I keep looking at replacing my 996TT but can't find anything to replace it with apart from a 997, so I think I'm going to do the "sensible" thing and lavish some TLC on my 91k mile battered and bruised 996. Nothing out of the ordinary really, it needs (as far as I know):

- Kerbed wheels stripping & refurbing.
- A couple of parking dings filling / pulling out
- Various stone chips and scratches - a full front end respray and a couple of other scratches on other panels
- Spoiler not working - alleged instrument cluster fault but last time it went to my tech he reckoned it would be wiring and could find the problem given time (he didn't have time then!)
- Air con recharge

Apart from the spoiler, not actually anything really Pork specific, does anyone have any recommendations for a "one stop shop" somewhere close(ish) to either Welwyn Garden City or Heathrow that will do a good job and not need me to sell a kidney?

Not that close to Heathrow per se but you could try eporsch in Bisely. They are doing my aircon, have done some paint and minor mechanical work for me in the very recent past.

If the spoiler trouble is due to an instrument cluster problem that's a new one. Generally the spoiler cylinder seals leak and the action of the spoiler triggers the warning light.

Open the engine compartment and look at the cylinder covers and the engine compartment sheet metal under the covers when the lid's closed. If you spot any fluid leak sign, it ain't coming from the instrument cluster...

Can't help you with the wheel refurbishing or paint questions other than be sure you use a good paint shop and a good wheel shop. Even then... When one of my Turbo wheels needed refinishing and was sent out the wheel shop ruined the wheel. It bought a new one. Expensive!
