'56 356 Speedster - Super?

Gents, I have a question and I've been away from this place for a very long time since I sold my 996 GT3, so I didn't know where to put it on the forum. I hope this is the right place?
- Is it possible that a '56 356 Super Speedster could have left the factory with a normal 60ps engine?
I have been looking at a car whose chassis number is 82764 which is badged Super Speedster ('56) and the Porsche Certificate it is being sold with backs this up. Only the engine it was originally fitted with was supposedly numbered 63540 - a standard, non super engine.
The car was originally offered for sale in Portugal/Spain - did they perhaps have a different system of nomenclature in the Iberian Peninsula?
If anyone know's a bit more about these cars and would be willing to share I'd be very grateful.

the numbering system is from Porsche and is worldwide !
a Super badge is 10 quid !
look at the data plate next to the tank, its on the left side when you are looking from the front,
The Porsche Kardex is what everyone will believe is true, if you get the "real" one it will tell you if the factory changed out the motor later for a Super , a common thing in Germany.....
