new 991 targa turbo

word from autocar is after targa release, they will add targa turbo.
I currently drivee 991s but could see me ordering this is 2 years - possibly in porsche green....

I always thought a targa turbo would look good and with the many variants of the 997 model I was surprised they didn't make it.

Not too sure about the roof of this new targa. Seems retro for the sake of it and no real benefit.

I liked the different roof lines on the 993, 996 and 997 and I thought the glass roof /opening was a nice compromise between a coupe and the full convertible.

Targa was a trend setter. Now all the manufacturers offer panoramic roof;)

Many complained of extra weight especially in the past when it was done on convertible body and that weight on roof is not good. However a regular Carrera is probably the wrong car if you drive that hard to notice.

I wonder if on 991 they will offer RWD again.

Good thing about it being unpopular is that not many on the streets.

I think for me, i am not attracted to the convertible - not sure why. this seems the perfect middle ground and will look great

Not sure, however I believe if you have a convertible you can add just the Ruf roof.

Love the targa!! Looks awesome! That'd be the one I'd go for in 10 years when the prices have come down!

The 997 Targa roof looks good too, but if I recall they cost many thousands and are way to expensive for what they are.
