CDR23 model/set up compatibility

Hi all,

I've trawled the internet and these forums and am totally lost, I'm dead in the water and have been for months and i fear i will become insane if i don't resolve this soon.

Apologies if this has been flogged to death but I really cant find the answer.

I have a CDR23 E1 EC 119 head unit which has being diog'd as being faulty by maple audio and my local porsche dealer.

My problem is, what head unit would i need to get as a like for like replacement, as far as i know they are not all compatible with the bose setup, which i have.

Some of the units i can find have porsche written on the sticker, some don't, this isn't my issue. I need to know which is the important factor for the compatibility, is it model number, part number etc etc.

Beckersound in the USA told me it's only the model number that matters but wasn't convinced as he sounded as enthusiastic as a lamb going to the slaughter house for his dinner.

Any help would be much appreciated fellas.
