Realistic or ridiculous ?
The recently sold RPM Mk1 Speed Yellow car that Slodge owned, had a price tag of £50K when SCoM retailed it initially, it didn't sell and was subsequently reduced to £45K iirc ? This car has a couple of thousand miles less on the clock and is a similarly "good" GT3 colour.
Worth £48K from a private vendor ?

You are spot on Henry, although I sold for the same price I paid (ex dealer spread of course)! Beginning to think I should have asked for more, but didn't want it hanging around. I think if someone wants Red then perhaps they will pay close to that for it - supply and demand is now stacked firmly in the sellers favour. What a difference 12 months makes - when I was looking in August last year there were quite a few to choose from inc. 2 clubsports. Realistic or ridiculous ?

Whole used Pork market seems super hot at the mo IMO.

It took Paul Stephens 18 months+ to sell their 23k mile GT3 MK1 Clubsport with a screen price of c.£45k, which reduced to nearer £40k at the point of sale. Admittedly, it was Polar Silver - which for some is not the most desirable colours, but it was a genuine M003 Clubbie.
Back to the RED car - good luck to the seller, if he's successful it can only be good news for fellow MK1 owners with good examples. But IMHO I think the realistic sale price will be nearer £40k than £50k

Totally different buyers. it's like saying "why would someone pay £35k for a 964t when they could have a 996t."
The price is ambitious for a private sale but the car looks lovely. I think low forties would be fair. The question a buyer needs to ask is "if I pass on this, how long will I have to wait for the next good one to come along". We've seen a few this last week but before that was a pretty long drought for decent colour/spec '6 gt3s.
