I'm sure this used to be a members car, does anybody know if this car is a good one?

I've had a look at it and it's far from perfect. That might be reflected in the price though.

Yes paint or at least the rectification done to spruce it up. The front end has had paint, which I'd expect a forecourt car to have at the age and mileage. What I wouldn't expect is overspray on the rubbers and mis-matched panel gaps from side to side.
It just looks a bit shoddy but may be otherwise perfect...

Thanks, the Motons would suggest it could have been tracked extensively. I saw the car at Goodwood many years ago and it looked superb.

Just more opportunity for a mistake resulting in repair. Not an issue if it stayed on the black stuff.

From what I know of the car Lee. Avoid.

I live literally 5 mins away and go past the garage a lot. Ive looked over the car quickly and it seems ok, but you know when something isnt right.
To be fair they do have a few good spec cars in there but when i was first looking for a 996 C4S the salesman made out he hadnt heard of any IMS/RMS dramas with 996's which i find hard to believe from any garage that has at least 3 Porsche's in stock at any time and also race's them!

Most cars they have are on SOR. I've tried buying from them; had a car serviced by them; know someone who tried to sell through them. One conclusion. It involves touching with barge poles!

Phoned up twice about different cars over last couple years, both times salesman tried to bullsh*t me when I started asking about specify details. Not impressed.
