Revolution Porsche independent

I have no affiliation to Revolution Porsche in Brighouse ( Huddersfield) however once again they have given me outstanding service . My Turbo went in today for a coolant leak and aircon not working, fixed in no time and at a extremely fair cost.

I can not recomend this indepenant highly enough, they are brilliant , would not consider taking my car anywhere else

So he should move away from a garage he likes and trusts that does a good job at a fair price simply because he might be missing out somewhere else? If you find a place you trust that does a great job for a price you're happy to pay then stick with them. Good well run businesses respect customer loyalty as that's part of being a good well run business.

I just think this "would not consider taking my car anywhere else " is a strong comment when there are loads of great places which look after the Porsche brand.

Plus there are times when only a OPC will do, I often visit mine.

But the OP is never going to go any where else or ever consider it !!!!

+1. I have been using these guys for 2 years and I wouldn't take my 911 anywhere else. Bear in mind they are also 300 miles from me. Trust me they are worth the trip!

You said he should try others that means he needs to move away from this garage at least once to try others so I'm quoting what you said. I didn't say he had to move permanently. Quote me correct if you are going to quote me. People do comment that black is white here lol. But he's perfectly happy so why take the risk? It's not like going to Sainsbury's every week is it, you might only go once a year to a garage or longer if it's just regular servicing.

So it's his choice and 'in his opinion' he doesn't want to go anywhere else. Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Too true, especially in that area as I can vouch. Plus at my Indy I get trailor collection/delivery so saves the hassle

I'm in the vicinity of revolution, but closer to porschetek, would those with experience of both recommend one over the other?

Fair comment.

Conversely, it's unlikely for one indy to only get systematic rave but impartial reviews by many people who have used several reputable indies.

But it seems to be the case judging by the feedback that Revolution get here and have been getting on boxa.net for several years, both on an affordability / transparency / competence POV.

+1 for revolution...great service...and as such why would I bother to try another garge? They are learning about my car and are really helpful with mods and upgrades...I can't see the need for having the same conversation with another garage???

These guys are OPC trained and have all the necessary equipment to do the job to an OPC standard...some might say to an even higher standard!

Ultimately I base my decision on the quality of service at a fair price...you can always find someone cheaper, but it doesn't always work out that way in the long run.

Just out of interest, what was up with your aircon?

Ive changed the condensers and dryer/receiver, but seem to have a coolant leak from somewhere. The local Kwikfit have regassed it a number of times, and it passes the vac test ok, but after a couple of weeks the aircon packs up.

Im in North Yorks, and thinking of somewhere to take it for some aircon diagnostics, and not looking to pay an arm and a leg.
