Help - Melting 996 Coil Pack

My 996 C4 melted a coil pack on no.3 cylinder. I replaced it but it melted the new one within 10mins. I'm 99% sure there is no wiring fault/short. Any ideas?

Could it be a shorted wire to the coil pack, or maybe a duff plug, take the
plug out and replace it, see if that helps.

Tks for the reply... I did think of the plug but haven't another coil pack to try yet. Is there any way to test a plug with a meter or something? There is no short in wiring to or from the coil.

Switch around a coil pack and plug from another cylinder - then isolate issue on this basis
