987s next steps

Ive had my 987s for a year now (my 4th and easily best one) and im looking to move on. Natural progression would be a 997 but they just seem to lack the fun/engagement the Box does, my question is should I go 993 or possible outside the brand? Anyone been through a similar process? What did you end up happy with?
seems you like the boxster why not a spyder if its a second car.if a daily then a caymanR.
whats out there in the boxster/cayman price/running costs bracket that does it all?
if its a 911 you are after then has to be a 997.2 c2s manual of course or if you like to go to the track then a gt3/rs.

If i did not need the extra seats I would be in a 981 right now. The Turbo PDK is an awesome car but there are pluses and minuses versus even the humble Boxster/Cayman.Thanks for the opinions I should have added I don't want more than 30k tied up in a car ideally. The boxster is cracking car (it has a rep though - I get asked a lot if it comes in men's).
Ideally I dont want more than 30k tied up a car which is just shy of spyder/cayman r prices. I take I need to get saving unless their is nothing outside the brand I should consider?

there are loads outside the brand to look at.

my last 3 cars have been a V8 M3, GT3 and TTRS, all great in there own way, but the Cayman R is the better all round car than any of them and the TTRS was the fastest and the only one which works in the snow though. The BMW did 14 mpg and did not work in the show at all

you don't say which boxster you have?do you have a gen 1 or gen2 if gen 2 keep or if gen1 wait until winter and you may be able to get a spyder for circa £30k,or why not a caymanS gen2 which is a great car yet again wait until end of the year you might get a nice 2010 car.at £30k price level I really don't think any other brand can beat the Porsche unless you fancy a new gt86 but £25k+ is a lot for a toyotaIdeally I dont want more than 30k tied up a car which is just shy of spyder/cayman r prices. Its a gen 1 987s. The spyder isnt a bad call if I can hold out till winter id probably be best selling mine now. As for the F430, nice car but never seen one below 60ktoocan said:

I went from a gen1 caymanS and I would have been happy to get in to any of the 987.2S cars but with the spyder its something special and being lighter makes the most of the 25 extra horses but imo not an every day car unlike the caymanR

fantastic chassis,lightweight,with a great package with spyder wheels and carbon buckets plus the unique bodywork which if like the sportclassic/speedster would have cost double new but was only a few grand more than a regular boxsterS.a modern future classic imho
