How much do you think it should be? Remember that a well specced Carrera S is pushing 90kI assume that anyone buying a new 911 has "money to burn" or in other words can simply afford it; given the rate of depreciation. The vast majority of people couldn't conceive of spending £80k on a car (or many other things) let alone a weekend toy.
Clearly Porsche think they will sell plenty.
Personally I would wait a couple of years and let someone else pay the price :-)

I suppose a lot depends on how good it is.
The Porsche PR machine has so far focussed on the GT3. Be interesting to see what happens when they turn their attention to the next Turbo.
Like the out-going model, it will doubtless appeal to buyers who want a practical GT, with supercar performance, that they can use every day, whatever the weather - when Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens and the like are tucked away in the garage.

Well i bought my new Turbo S Cab in feb (dec'12 build) and got for £110k , so given i dont think there is a 'huge' difference in spec, I'm quite happy with what i got...one of last off line.Mind you, spec'd up they are expensive - £130k for a Turbo to £150k for a Turbo 'S', I think.

Have you checked out the prices for the afore-mentioned marques recently?? I think you will find that most of them are hitting £200k prices once spec'd up.I think the new 911 Turbo is still going to represent good value for money in this sector.
For those of you who want to wait until prces tumble, well fair enough you cannot live beyond your means, however if the more fortunate people didn't buy them new then no-one would have any 2nd hand ones for you to buy cheaper in a few years.

GT3 is a special animal... But turbo for me doesn't do it. At that px if you want mega performance 1-2 yr old 458 and 12c are SO MUCH sexier proposition..

yup, and I don't think anyone spending 60k on a used one really has too much to complain about in the grand scheme of things!I think the new 911 Turbo is still going to represent good value for money in this sector.

They have said this at various points since the introduction of the 996 and each and every time they think they can sell more cars, they always increase supply. They are a car company, they sell cars; any talk of protecting second hand values by limiting supply is a PR sales pitch.I do not agree with people who compare the 991 Turbo to two seater sports cars, simply because the 911 has four and this is why it really has no peers if you need that nod to practicality (which I do).
