Being faster than a 12c on track is awfully impressive. Wonder whether the tested 12c was on corsas or the standard pzero road tyre.
The comment about greater engagement and excitement at lower speeds however does make me wonder if speed has been achieved at the cost of driver involvement......

It's a good read and results are pretty much what everyone expected I guess.
Hugely capable, covers ground massively fast but the overall driver enjoyment/involvement are somewhat lacking.
It'll be interesting to see what the RS brings to the table or if maybe here be something even more extreme ........ RSL anyone ?

I must say Dickies comments are very telling and the ones i would be drawn to in order to forecast my own reaction. I find my 96GT3 needs to be driven very fast and hard to properly come alive so it makes for worrying reading to hear the same criticism levelled at a GT3 that's 14 years newer.
Maybe as Dickie himts, the GT3 is more the proper 911 and if you want what we know as the GT3 experience, wait for the 991 RS.

Its combination of useability and devastating dynamics truly is a new benchmark, and although it marches into new territory - face to face with the likes of the Ferrari 458 and McLaren 12C - it retains enough character and excitement to proudly wear the GT3 badge. And on track it is gobsmackingly brilliant."

I'm a PDK fan but surely the best way to guarantee greater involvement is to give the driver something to do with his left arm and leg. But I guess given a choice of performance or involvement, more buyers want performance.I?
