What Porsche

Looking to buy a Porsche for use as a 3rd car, sundays and a bit of fun,
Got 12-15 k to spend
Been looking at 996 models as these seam to offer best valve for that sort of money,
Can anybody advise me what's the differnce on a "S" model,
Any other advice tahnkfully accepted.

I think the S has wider arches - but I'm not 100% sure.

I'd rather go for a Cayman S over a 996 911. Got to be a better car than a base 996, no?

To be fair, TVRs are pretty reliable. In fact, I attended a car handling course with 2 other TVRs and a GT3 RS.

The only car to dump it's coolant on the track and need recovery was the Pork. The TVRs were faultless.

They don't smell of resin and they're well put together with acceptable panel gaps (or should that be gapes).

The only S model is the C4S (which has the turbo wide body). You'll see many references to tiptronic S, but this refers to the gearbox only. If you don't need rear seats, worth looking at Boxster & Caymans too if a fun car is what you're after.

There isn't a C2S in the budget range you mention. It is either C2, C4, or C4S.
