It looks pretty good and is no doubt a technical masterpiece.

But, is it me, or is it a little bland, even boring looking?

Then again, at £628k, I guess it just needs the super rich collectors to buy one each. Job jobbed.

When the Carrera GT first appeared, I thought that was a bit boring / bland, but even today I find that car absolutely stunning, it just hasn't aged.

The 918 will be the same.

Not the best picture, but i think it looks stunning. Quite a few hard edges for a Porsche!

I have driven it and the drive and acceleration is mind-blowing - but all this electric stuff I don't get. Yes - it is great party trick to accelerate from nil to 100 miles an hour without any sound what so ever. But you do it once and everybody is impressed but after that you want a howling 10 cylinder engine just like the Carrera GT. I came away thinking, that this is indeed a compromise between wanting to satisfy both the tree huggers and the petrol heads and in my opinion is does neither. Leave the 200 kg of electronic bits at home and put in the Carrera GT engine and it would be an outright success.

Maybe it's just me, but the bumper looks like it barely fits, only the new Viper has bigger panel gaps! Pretty much every pic I've seen of the front makes it look like a pre production bodge...

It's a nice looking thing, if a little bigger than it needs to be.
Will it make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up? I'm not sure.

Looks very odd, from that front 3/4 angle it looks like a small car has been reversed into the rear portion of a bigger car, none of the lines flow, also the front bumper / spoiler section looks like a Ferrari 360, dooesn't work at all for me, looks like they have tried to hard and the back massively outweighs the front.

CGT all day long over one of these .... or any other number of hypercars ....
