What is the Catch - There has to be one

Seriously a lot of car for the money however I know I have heard of some issues regarding engine bores etc Are they really that big a risk?

There are 2 main ones.

Maintenance costs which can if you are unlucky be crippling.
Fuel consumption.

That's why they are so cheap.

Yeah those are fair points but I am generally used to running high maintenance cars having been used to BMW, RR, Merc etc
I don't mind servicing costs, brakes, tyres, fuel consumption however what would bother me is general reliability and cost of repair.

Would love to scratch the itch of having a cayenne however not if its going to amputate my nuts

There are more knowledgable people than me that can answer that but I am aware of the plastic coolant pipe issue which is about a 800 ish fix?
