Non OEM lights sold on Approved Car?

These are NOT red lights - the Secretary of R11 Essex Porsche Club has a 997 Turbo with red lights and they definitely don't look like that. These are almost certainly the 'Dectane' aftermarket LED's retrofitted by the previous owner.

Just because a car is advertised on the Porsche Approved website or for sale at an OPC does not mean it is automatically being sold under the Approved Scheme at that time, it may well be on sale or return.
For example when I bought my previous GT3 RS from OPC Leicester. When I first looked at the car the front spoiler was scuffed. As it was SOR the OPC do not prep or put it through the 111 point check qualifying process as the owner could collect the car at anytime.
I offered a price and said I wanted a new spoiler as part of the deal. The owner accepted the offer, paid for the new spoiler then the dealership did the 111point check, all clear in this instant, then the OPC bought it from him, it then became an approved car, I then bought it from the OPC.
So in this case you may find the lights may have to be changed and the cost to the owner if you did buy it, hence also why you see cars with grills fitted to the rads being advertised, but if you buy they would remove them to qualify as approved used.

They aren't Dectane, they're Rottec aftermarket LED lights.
