997.2 dectane lights: difficult to replace?

I've got a 997.2 and one of the dectane LED light clusters at the back has a crack in it which is letting in a lot of moisture.

The cluster is around £350 to replace and the OPC told me it was a 30 to 45 minute job to replace (meaning probably an hours labour) on top.

Has anyone replaced one of these and just how difficult was it? If it's easy'ish then I'll do it.

Two screws, 10 minutes max and that includes taking 5 minutes to nip off for a slash!

Shirley if it's a 997.2 then it already has LED rears??
....and they're not Dectane?

Hmm - I thought (obviously wrongly) the dectane ones were the LED ones (shows what I know...)

Anyway, it is indeed a <5min job to take off - so thank you Martian O

The 45 mins the OPC was quoting was obviously to write out the bill for me to pay....

Dectane make LED rears very much in the style of 997.2 to fit 997.1

If your 997 definitely is a Gen2 (2008-2011), then it does have LED rear clusters, Porsche ones not Dectane ones.

OP, is this a crack you can see? Does it have a crack? The OE lamps are well known to mist up. Sure it's not just that?

It's cracked in two places and the clear plastic has started to separate from the red stuff.

There was quite a lot of water in it and this seems to have popped some of the LEDs too - so it's defo a replacement, I tipped out the water earlier when I removed it but know its going to come back...
