Ok, it's er, challenging, but should he be applauded for creating his own vision? Or not?

I don't like it BUT I didn't build it, nor did I spend my money on it, so my opinion is just that: an opinion. 
Good luck to him, although I'm guessing that, like the Peppermint 964 that has been for sale for many months, a buyer who is willing to help reimburse some of the build cost, and share the owners vision, may take quite awhile to find.

My favourite bit is that when the doors are "fully open" they hugely obstruct the door aperture.

We have very differing views on the maning of "Perfect"

...as opposed the 210bhp engine fitted to ALL other S2s, even the Variocam engine in the 968 only made 240bhp.

This was displayed at the PCGB national a couple of years ago. You might well not like it, but until you've seen it you'll not appreciate the quality of the work. The custom-made panels are better than anything I've ever seen from other suppliers.
If I had the spare cash, and a garage to keep a cab in, I'd buy it. Seriously. If you're after something unique, as head-turning as a Lambo, but actually driveable as well, it's not a lot of money really. All assuming it's as good as it was at Cirencester, but having met the owner I'd be surprised if it wasn't as good as the day it was finished.

If that's all that could be done to the Baltic Blue S2 Cabrio (shown in the pictures) after it was damaged I think the world would have been a better place if it had just been sent to the wreakers and crushed.
It would cost £12K to fix it.

The person who did that to the car in the first place needs their head looked at. Hideous isn't a strong enough word!Unbelievable that he's priced it pretty much at the top end of 944 cab prices (except v low mileage ones) - shame he hasn't got a clue about the engine either.

BUT I can't help thinking good on him, he plainly hasn't toned down his vision for his obvious pride and joy through fear of what other people think or resale
& that he's getting rid of it as he has a 944 turbo for 'restoration' which will no doubt wind up shoe and glove wearing 'marque' defenders just adds to the brilliance for me
emperor's clothes and poor speccing isn't confined to the lower end of the market
