993 Suspension Upgrade

Recently bought a 1997 993 C4, I am now considering upgrading the suspension and looking down the coilover route or possibly a good lowered spring/ damper set up.

Any recommendations or anyone with anything secondhand? Anything to avoid?
The car is only used on the road as I have part share in another car for the track.

Your suspension upgrade is minimum2 grand, you'll need to do the wishbones an all.
Brakes etc, between £500 and £800, you may as well do them once the lots off.
CoG set up's about £300 I believe, and you'll need you wheel and tyres sorted.
Any advice?
You'll find it hard to do anything cheap or secondhand, its just not either worth it, or do able.
I believe jackal over on 911uk has a coil over kit, the rs one, second hand, and IINM he wants about two for it.

Hi,
We may have some used Bilstein dampers coming up as they were installed by another outfit but they are incorrect for the car as the car had an M033 option from new and as such requires different dampers to work with existing spring setup.
I will ask the owner if he wants to sell them, I think new the kit is £1250.00 these have done 17000 miles.

Stuttgartmetal - thanks for the advice and I understand no cheap option with these cars. I haven't factored in doing the wishbones, will look into it. I would use the secondhand route but kit would need to be good condition, my current suspension has seen about 80k miles so anything should be an improvement.
I would get that roll of masking tape on eBay, someone will buy it!!
