In terms of style and coolness, what road car porsche beats it? I can't think of any.

I can think of many . . . but what is the point? This looks utterly gorgeous and I'd like to keep it that way. Want more classic Porsche?

After years of driving different Porkers I have concluded that It is the pre driver aid cars that only really interest me. As a driving experience I prefer pure engagement as opposed to the accumulation of the rather expensive costume jewellery currently on offer. For me These ended with the somewhat petulant 996GT3. Whilst they remain my favourite Porsche in terms of driving reward, I am more and more drawn to the earlier cars for similar driving pleasures derived at slower speeds. These little 356 chaps look fantastic but - I suspect - are a little unaffordable!

My 993RSR is a delight but not practical as an every day funster. With such a range of air cooled options, which one to go for??

I'd say the last of the air cooled gems. Enjoyed one - from the barriers - at the Bilster Berg track. Sensational!

Modern cars look dull and most of the times drive dull.

Well maybe build your own 'Singer' equivalent from either a 964 or based round a 3.2

Take a look on classiccar, you can get a nice coupe for 30-40k

There is just something about the 356.

The French would call it 'I don't know what' and I know what they mean, there's something very old about a 356, something of the gothic... a 356 is German in essence.

One thing I do know, kids get 356's. A 356 makes them sit up and take notice, makes them point and smile.

Early 911s are without a doubt cool... but there's a magic about a 356. Something I just can't put my finger on.

These take some beating guys, a 356 Prototype & a 356 Coupe' which was owned by FP. These were taken at Porcshe Museum Stuttgart in JULY, well worth a visit....
