De-catting 1987 911 American Spec

Hi, I am looking at decatting a 1987 American spec 911 and fitting a stainless exhaust. Is there any issue with the running of the vehicle once removed and what happens with the Lambda etc?
I'm sure it's not really an issue but would like to check before I proceed.
Any advice would be appreciated.

No problem removing the cat in the UK - they weren't needed until part way through the 964 series. But try the keep the lambda sensor - the car will run better with it.

Thanks, it's not the legality I am worried about it's the running, so - connect the lambda back into the new catless exhaust?
