Warranty claim doesn't seem to add up. 2016 ??? I thought Porshe only supply a 2 year warranty when purchasing a car through the OPC's but this claim seems to go beyond that even.
I think I've seen this car at Tonbridge OPC

They'll have tagged the 2 year warranty onto an existing warranty. They did this when I bought from them too.

That makes sense thanks for that. Direct gov website shows it had new tax disc earlier this year. I'll give Tonbridge a call and see what they say. Thanks for the heads up.

Having conducted further research - Interestingly this car had the engine out and split to replace the crank case seal circa 14k miles and 2 lots of RMS done. No mention of that in the advert. Number of owners is more than the advert states too. Think I'll look at others. What is it with these cars that a good one is so hard to find ?

RMS is common on 997 GT3's
Whereas the 993 turbo derived block is normally famous for not heaving RMS problems,
I'm told the increased crankcase pressure necessary for emission regulations means the RMS is now very susceptible to leaking

True, my RMS was changed out at around 9k miles and about 4 years old, probably due to lack of use apparently?

Whilst the RMS has been an issue on these engines, and it's a pain for owners, remember that it's only a small leak caused by a seal. It's not significant at all.

True enough but the engine split and rebuild to replace crank case seal has put me off and if that's not mentioned what else has or has not been done ? A Clubsport that has never been on track .... Hmmmmm

My old 997 GT3 had the engine out more than once (before I owned it) due to RMS issues. I was told it's a very common problem for low mileage cars, and effectively "easy money" for dealers to generate warranty work.

To answer the op I knew the bloke who owned this car. He tracked it and did a couple of alp runs. The engine was stripped down to renew the crankcase seal by Tonbridge OPC. It was traded in , April time. Definately remember him saying it had had several keepers before him. I think he said the dealer was going to trade it out due to the number of keepers and the non n rated tyres. I've text him about this thread but dunno if he got the number anymore.

Coz most cars ,especially Rs's have the ste kicked out of them,then the seller wants top money..they are rare and the majority are battered.
