So my 991 C2S is gone, after just under one year of ownership. Was an awesome car, but it was time to move on. The good news is I sold it back to an OPC for just 12% less than I paid for it brand new. That's what I call exemplary depreciation. 
So it's so long from me for now folks. Keep it sexy!

Surely better to have 991 and sell BM.
Well the wife refused to drive the 991 as a daily runabout, so I got her an M135i under pretence of it being a sensible hatchback ("it's just a 1-series sweetheart"). With my wife's motoring taken care of, the 991 was being driven by me once a week at best, and that's not really the basis on which you should own one of these beauties. Then I got a terrific offer for it that made owning it from new for a year a bargain, so I let my head overrule my heart and off it went.Surely better to have 991 and sell BM.
Made me sad when the OPC man drove away with it earlier today, though...
A year or so ago, there was an over supply of 991s and they were being discounted, especially 'new stock'.
Porsche have since reduced supply, and most 991s are now built to order, with tighter discounts. As such there is, apparently, limited used stock.
Presumably, with the right timing, the OP may have bought well and sold well. If so, well done.

That's what a Porsche sales executive told me when I enquired why used 991's were selling at prices higher, it seemed to me, than what was offered to me about about 9 months ago. RankAmateur... I am in the same position too.. Selling my C2S that I purchased 8k miles and 12 months ago.
Some pretty good memories, including spirited early morning drives in the Cotswolds and what remains an all time great... A 2k miles road-trip to the south of France climbing any mountain pass I could find. Motoring nirvana. The sport exhaust echoing against the rocky side of the road, the tunnels, the chassis absorbing any B road you could imagine, the turn in...

But as the gt3 arrives next year I am combining 911 and lotus elise.. So the 2 beasts need to go for now. Can you PM me the details of your trade? If I can avoid private sale hassle it would spare the experience of dealing with the occasional lunatic. :-)
Or if there's a non lunatic on here looking for the best spec 991s you can find PM for a good deal...

if you are a hi rate tax payer it's still £1.4k gross wage a month to just cover the depreciation let alone running it.and about £1.9k to run it in total a month, that's over £22k of your wages to run the car for less than a year doing 8k miles.
I guess some people will call that a bargain, some will not, depends what you earn I guess.
