Nightmare 996 turbo seat situation

ARGH, just problem after problem with this car since I bought it and now something seemingly so simple is stopping me driving it.

Despite setting the seat memory to what I wanted it to be the car kept going back to some preset position which was come telly wrong. I'm 6ft 5 in so I need the seat as low and as far back as possible.

Having to keep putting it back one day the seat just stops moving and you can hear the relays click as you press the buttons but no movement.

I track this to a blown fuse and replacement fuses blow so there's a problem. A short I think. I've had the seat in and out 2-3 times now, been through over 30 fuses and I'm at the end of the road. No worn through or caught wires and yet it's still keeps blowing.

To make matters worse, the last time the seat controls worked they only half worked and all the controls reversed themselves so now I have a chair that's fully forward and fully raised with the tilt forward mechanism locked in the forward position :-/ you couldn't make this st up unless you were writing comedy sketches.

I want to drive this whining piece of crap so I need a new seat and rail - can anyone recommend something that will go in and accommodate my large frame? I can't be arsed with electric this and that its only me who will drive it and if I want a heated bum I'll light a fire under it, right now I just want to drive the car that's supposed to make me happy not suicidal!

If you can tell us where you are, we may be able to point you in the direction of a good specialist to repair your seat problems.

Probably motor armature windings burnt out hence the fuse blowing.

Haha awesome replies have cheered me up. If Syria treated themselves to their dream car but could only drive it by sitting on a milk crate, they'd be suicidal too.

In terms of the winding being screwed, what are my options here? New motors? New seat? I'm literally stuck to know ehich direction to take so all advice much appreciated.
