Finally took the plunge!

After what seems like a lifetime of wanting a 911 I finally took the plunge and bought a 997 GT3 from OPC Edinburgh: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p... it seemed like a much smarter idea than the one at GC motors I posted on here recently (which I see has now sold!)
Adrian Crawford has assisted me in the purchase and has been brilliant, that man certainly knows his 911's. I also have added piece of mind with the 2 year warranty and a fresh service and MOT so hopefully the car shouldn't cost me too much to run over the next couple of years.
Car couldn't be further away though so unlikely I will see it until next week when they will deliver it down to Cornwall for me.
I don't know how to contain my excitement, I have that christmas Eve feeling I remember from when I was 10 years old waiting for a new push bike!
The car has had 2 owners and wondered if perhaps either might be on here?
Really looking forward to joining the Porsche scene and perhaps meeting up with anybody in the South West.

KNow that feeling so well. Fabulous looking car and a whole pack of fun awaits. Take everyone's advice fly up and drive the car home. Spend the next few days planning your route and places to stay on the way back half the fun of the journey. You'll get to know the car on the journey.

Sounds like a nice little plan falling into place, a guess it could be a game of 'pass the Porsche' where each of you tear a few millimetres off of the tyres before passing it on to the next man!How about it Flopper?

Completely agree with this. It's a few hours at most. Make a night of it if that's what it takes. You'll remember it for yonks.

Jump on a plane, get on a train jump in a taxi and go get it. Work can definately wait....It is why we work and earn the cash so we can spend it and enjoy our toys. I reckon you'll be kicking yourself for the missed opportunity if you don't.
