997 GT3 Resale

Hi Guys, I am thinking of buying this GT3

Just wondering if it is a good deal, will I lose a lot on it because of the colour?

Its not a colour I often see amongst GT3s.

I like it. Motherhood statement: If you believe it will be difficult for resale then look for a similar discount when buying it.

lack of bucket seats is a non starter for me on a GT3.

So hence resale is harder with out them imo.

If it's mechanically sound then just negotiate price and buy some Pole Positions. Job done!

Atlas is a bit dark, IMO, but this looks like a nice 'comfort spec' model in a subtle colour - perfect for discreet road use.

Some (the handful of people on here), but not all.

Mine just sold in under a week at a smidge under 60k from an OPC.

Sports adaptives and it even had a sunroof (shock/horror).

Then again, I'm not sure that's much to do with the colour!

IMHO, any dark grey colour is for 4x4`s and everyday hacks (and yes, I have one that has served well for 125K miles) GT3`s are about celebration and if you want one, be bold and celebrate!

There are loads of 996 and 997 GT3's specced with standard sports seats. These cars sell.

Regular trackday drivers tend to want the buckets and harnesses which of course is fully appropriate but there's loads of GT3 owners that don't want/need them. Most you'll find don't frequent these forums.

This car looks really nice and if it checks out could make the OP extremely happy. Good hunting!

Agree about the seats. Some must want the sport seats as there are plenty with them! So you take your choice.

Certainaly looks a nice car. But based on things you can't (or wouldn't want to) change - mechsnicsl state, bodywork, colour etc. sests easily swapped if you ever want to.
