996 Turbo - Recall info - help please?

Hi,
Sorry about the long email - just looking for a bit of good professional advice.

I'm about to buy a 996 Turbo (2003). Naturally I've done some research and according to the appropriate "EVO Buying Guide" I should look out for 5 recall stamps in the logbook.

These related to the following issues:
- Replace fuel pump wiring harness
- Replace coolant line spring clamp band
- Fit anti-chafing sheath to engine compartment fuel line
- Strengthen wiring harness in area of oil filter
- Secure hydraulic clutch line with extra bracket

The question is, did these only relate to early production cars (around 2000 and 2001) and would a 2003 car (3 years into the production period) have had these issues dealt with within the factory manufacture process (and therefore there would be no stamps in the logbook)?

The car I'm looking at has a full Porsche Centre Dealer history and has 4 recall stamps in the book... and after thorough research I know what they relate to (seats, satnav updates etc) - and it's none of the above issues.

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

You can email [e-mail] supplying the reg and chassis number and they will advise if it is outstanding any recalls.

I did a couple of years ago and ended up with a new engine bay wiring loom!

They even gave me a new boxster to play with for the day.

Would it be a silly for me to assume they would check this on a service? mine has full PSH so I would expect someone to have noticed at some point!

Assumption being the mother of all fk ups.....

For the sake of a quick email, I did mine when I bought my car. Just nice to have peace of mind

Thanks for the advice and feedback. As suggested, I've sent the email to Porschebyfleet - we'll see what comes back from them next week.
