why is pdk 10kg lighter in the 991 vs 981?

just a boring bit of info but the pdk is quoted as 20kg heavier than a manual in the 991 on the Porsche site but 30 kg in the 981?is this because the 991 manual has its origins in the pdk box?

Its because the manual boxes are different. The 991 is based on the pdk, the 981 is the same as the old one in the 987.
