Has anyone retro-fitted any Techart parts? or is it a no-go?

Why should it be a no go? Unless you need to keep your OPC warranty of course.
I fitted a Techart rear spoiler together with gen 2 rear lights GTS boot lid & bumper.
I did all this whilst still under warranty knowing that if I had any claim issues I could always revert it back to standard before taking it in to my OPC.

As it turns out I have decided not to bother renewing the warranty as I'am in the fortunate position to be able to do any repairs that might be needed. I'll keep the savings in my slush repair fund.

The cayman is the best kit they do, Some of their 991 bits are ok too.

I agree that some of their stuff is not so subtle, but generally, its way better than most of the Gemballa offerings ever were
