Must have happened after the auction! Several were dealt with this way I told.
I decided to pay more from a dealer having had time to test drive thoroughly and consider purchase.
I was told car was on sorn and no current mot when I ang up.

Was there. Car was parked outside in pouring rain so tricky to establish condition. Red looked shiny enough but wheels and wing not really right. Auto plus grey and non-hardback seats not too appealing. No MOT and SORN. Maybe £4k spent on it will get it up to market value for condition. Red rare and nice for me - all-grey interior not so. Black +£1000 in my book.

Yep, I was there too, looked a nice car with little to do to bring it up to perfect condition.

Sold for £15,680 + £1,881 fees = £17,561. For sale for £19,950.

Circa £2K profit (less VAT), was it worth it?

Ahhh yes I forgot the fees. Will it be worth it? Depends on your circumstances.

Even if the dealer makes £2K, if there's anything needing repair, it could soon wipe out any profit. Risky.
