996 Dipped beam problem

I have a 996tt with xenons, the dipped beam (on both sides) will not switch on, side lights are OK, fogs are OK, full beam is OK when flashed but will not switch on normal mode, i guess because the dipped beams will not work on either side. Had a look at one of the bulbs and it looks fine.

I guess its unlikely that both sides would fail at the same time, so is it possibly the switch? (Dont want to waste £80 on a new one if i dont need too!)

I had exactly the same problem recently (996TT 2002) and it was the headlight switch. You can take them out and clean the contacts but I went for a new switch. Cost around £80 delivered for the part (from Type911 I think) and took around 45 mins to fit. Followed a guide I found by Googling....don't have the link now unfortunately.

Hi, think the switch has gone up in price from OPC as list is £80.13 plus vat so if you can get it for £80.00 including vat delivered then that's a good price.
